This is the current list of instruments and tuition offered by the Holdernesse School of Music for 2022-2023.

Emma Holdernesse B.Ed, Cert S.E.N. Autism teacher

Emma is a highly experienced teacher working with integrated approaches to teaching. She is especially able to work with students who require different approaches to learning. ​

  3. Theory up to grade 8

  4. Magic music box,

  5. ABRSM Nat 5, Higher, Advanced Higher music syllabus

  6. Therapeutic sessions for ASN clients

  7. Adult activities for Dementia and Parkinson' clients.

Don Holdernesse B.Arts (MUSIC)

  1. Electric guitar,

  2. Acoustic guitar,

  3. Classical guitar,

  4. Folk stringed instruments - Fiddle, mandolin, banjo, ukulele  

  5. Drum kit, Bodhran, Cajon, percussion, Orchestral Xylophone

  6. Aptitude test, 

  7. Woodwind - Saxophone, clarinet, flute, recorder

  8.  Modern music theory, songwriting and arranging

  9.  Music Technology and audio production

  10.  ABRSM, Trinity, RockSchool, Nat 5 and Higher curriculum

Prices for new students

Individual lesson   £15 per half hour lesson. 

At this time special rates might be accommodated for families that are struggling financially.

Aptitude test.        £ 30    (55 Minutes) 

Aptitude tests are usually 55 minutes and cover strings, guitar, brass, woodwind(saxophone, flute), drums, and piano. It is advised that a  parent attend the test to see how the student is suited to each group of instruments.

Classes are £6 per session.  Minimum of 4 students per session.
