SUMMER HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES 2023

 

Magic Music box Summer Club

Fun, creative group music activities and games for 6 - 10 year olds. Play an instrument, create a sound story and play some rhythm games. Bring a snack..

18th, 19th and 20th of July 2023, 2.00pm - 3.30pm. Venue: Rafford Village hall. £24 for the 3 sessions or drop-in for £10 per session.

Rock Band Camp

Come along with your instrument and learn some new tunes with like minded musicians. Basic experience is necessary but support is provided on all instruments. 

Venue: East Grange Loft

Monday 24th - Tues 25th of July 2023,  2.00 - 3.30pm

Wed 26th of July 2023,  2.00 - 4pm, including a mini concert from 3.30 - 4pm. Entry for concert is free.

Cost for all sessions £50

Composition and Songwriting 

Find your inner musical expression. Come and learn the basics of composition and song-writing , song structure and lyric writing. Ability to play an instrument is not essential.

We provide music lessons and classes throughout Forres, Elgin, Nairn and the surrounding districts as well as

on-line ZOOM lessons across the world.

Whether you are just starting out or want to ROCK out, want to play Classical music or just want to enjoy something

new there is an instrument or group for you.

We recognise that not everyone learns the same, so our programs cater for all types of learners. From those students that

don't want to learn how to read music at all to those that want to do grade exams, those that just want to learn how to play their favourite songs to those that want to be a professional musician.

​

We are also qualified and experienced in working with students who find learning difficult and especially welcome students with additional support needs. All of our teachers are PVG disclosure checked for working with vulnerable children and have worked for many years in this field.

​

So whether you're  young or old, let us help you experience the joy of playing music, with lessons tailored specifically for you.

Complex and profound difficulties - developmental delay, brain damage. Downs syndrome, Cerebral palsy.

 

Degenerative Conditions:  

Dementia, Parkinsons, Alzheimer's, Motor Neuron Disease.

 

Mental health conditions such as:

Anxiety disorders, selective mute, PTSD, trauma, shock, grief, depression.

  RockClub  

Join a group of  players who love playing rock and pop music.

​

Trad Meet

Open to anyone who is interested in learning and playing traditional Celtic music in a group  All ages, abilities and instruments welcome.

Sundays 7-8.30pm, Rafford Village Hall

Grade 5 Theory class

A class working towards grade 5 theory for students in advanced classes at school or who want to sit ABRSM grade 5 theory. Understanding of scales and key signatures is important to join this class.

​

​

​

Advanced music ensemble

A group for intermediate to advanced players who enjoy playing a variety of music from classical, pop, jazz and traditional repertoire. All instruments welcome. Minimum of grade 4 standard.

​

Emma is not only a very talented musician but an experienced and wonderful piano teacher. Always looking at teaching from different angles suitable to the students strengths. She always encourages creativity and "outside the box" thinking. Her patience and love for music is evident in her teaching.

STUDENT
ACHIEVEMENT

Student Josh (14 years) made the most of lockdown and went from playing grade 3 to grade 7 pieces in a YEAR, with a lot of hard work and determination.

​

It just goes to show what you can achieve if you put your mind to it. Any one can achieve with determination and regular focused practice.
